The internet and social media is an amazing tool. You can keep in touch with family across the globe, do business, and spread influence all with the touch of a finger. Industries are born and die on the internet almost daily. Everyone has a voice. But, there is a negative to this: EVERYONE HAS A VOICE. Ridiculous theories like chemtrails, flat earth, young earth, and (in my opinion, the most disgusting, irresponsible movement ever) anti-vaxxing. All these things are so far-fetched and lack any real proof, but are allowed to proliferate because the ability of individuals to find lemmings to follow them into the abyss.
First let’s start with chem trails. These people really believe that MILLIONS of people have kept this secret from the entire world for decades. As a society, we have proven we can’t even keep private bank accounts, databases, and sex tapes private. How in the hell would a group of people that insanely large keep a secret as big as that one? Get out of here.
Second, flat earth. I can’t even justify this shit with a paragraph. Just go die.
Young earth is especially disgusting to me, because it is mostly connected to an organized religion trying not to lose influence with their ridiculous stories we are supposed to take as fact. These people believe the earth is six thousand years old. And, because of this you would think they don’t believe in dinosaurs. But, we have physical proof of these, so they explain that away too. They think humans and dinosaurs actually lived SIDE BY SIDE. Just so we are all clear, The Flinstones was NOT a true story. Shut your stupid face.
Now for anti vaxxers. Some whore told the world it might have possibly given her child autism, but all scientists have said that is not possible. For some reason, we listen to some woman who got famous showing here tits and ass to the world over men and women who have spent their entire lives researching these subjects. If you don’t vaccinate your kids, that should be child endangerment. And honestly, I don’t give a shit about your kid. If you believe these things you probably shouldn’t have reproduced in the first place. It’s about other people’s children who may not have been able to get their vaccinations yet. They could die because of your unfounded ideas, and it could lead to an outbreak that kills a lot more children and elderly people. If you are and anti vaxxer, do me a favor and go lay in a ditch while they fill it in with cement. You are a waste of space and are endangering my child and family for that matter.
I don’t understand the Confederate flag worship in our area. There are a couple reasons for that.
For one, what about the Confederacy do these people support, slavery? Segregation? Lynching? Believe it or not, these are some of the things “the south” believed in. If your argument is “that’s not what it was about” you are ignorant at best, or just downright stupid. Slavery is why we fought the civil war, no matter how you justify it in your head. I’ve heard all the arguments justifying this, but none of them hold any water. One I hear a lot is “it wasn’t about slavery, it was about state’s rights.” Yeah, I guess. Because the federal government told them they couldn’t own SLAVES anymore. Another argument I hear a lot is the economy. Again, because the south was afraid their economy would collapse without free SLAVE labor. So, stop with this BS argument, it doesn’t make you look “more American” or whatever you are trying to accomplish. Really what you are telling the world is you are okay with a little slavery and racism, as long as you can do what you want. That’s selfish and completely ridiculous. You’re not that important.
Second, do these jackasses know where they live? This is the NORTH. You almost can’t get any further north. Do you think anyone in the south gives a damn what you think? If they support this, that means they supported the Confederate army. Which makes you a TRAITOR to them. Maybe you should just move there, and leave us the hell alone. Also, fun history fact for you: Minnesota and Wisconsin were part of a territory called “The Northwest Territory,” which banned slavery almost 50 YEARS before the civil war. The confederacy has never had a hold here, and never even made it this far north.
So, in short, if you drive around with a confederate flag or wave it around like an asshole, you’re an idiot. The south is never going to rise again, you are not some warrior for a cause that anyone respects. And those of you out there who read this and get angry, maybe you should elope to Kentucky with your cousin and leave us alone in THE NORTH. You’re not needed here, and we probably wouldn’t even notice if you left.
